Samjhana Wagle Bhattarai is a dedicated sociologist specializing in gender and social inclusion, youth employment, women empowerment, caste inequality, climate change, and disaster risk management. Currently serving as the Section Chief at the Research & Promotion Section of the Youth and Small Entrepreneur Self Employment Fund Secretariat under the Ministry of Youth & Sports, she plays a pivotal role in empowering youth and promoting social inclusion in Nepal.

With an M.Phil. in Sociology from Tribhuvan University and currently pursuing her Ph.D., Samjhana has over a decade of experience in both academia and development sectors. She has held positions such as Monitoring & Evaluation Officer for the Anukulan/BRACED Project and GESI Expert at the Center for Policy Studies and Rural Development.
