Ram Prasad Rimal is a WSA Award 2024 winner and a leading Nepali innovator, entrepreneur, and researcher. He is the Co-Founder, Director, and Lead Researcher at Ramlaxman Innovations Pvt. Ltd. He is best known as the Founder of “Kataho,” Nepal’s first digital addressing system, developed to address long-standing challenges in location identification and mapping in Nepal.

He has made significant contributions to public service innovation, including inventing Nepal’s first electronic voting machine. His work also includes flood early-warning systems, smart community sirens, and various automation tools aimed at improving disaster response and civic infrastructure. With over five patents and more than 50 practical innovations developed for national use, he continues to play an active role in technology-driven public service, local manufacturing, and grassroots innovation in Nepal.
